Our MissionWe seek to help product and service developers achieve sustainable, long-term success through adoption of a design approach that goes well beyond traditional industrial, corporate, or graphic design. Traditional approaches may win design awards but often do not extend to the key issues that drive acquisition and usage over the long-term. Long-term use and brand loyalty is achieved by providing tangible value to customers and users, as well as to those who bring the products and services to market. This site will give you insight into identifying and maximizing the value that stakeholders seek from a product or service. It describes how that value can be realized through a thoughtful and rigorous design approach that goes well beyond traditional approaches. It identifies the various dimensions of design, including those related to concepts and usage, as well as appearance, and it identifies various stakeholders, describing how each has their own perspective of value. We introduce techniques for rigorous stakeholder research and documentation, and demonstrate how the results flow into development processes in very measurable ways. Measures are the key to success. They identify how each stakeholder will assess value, and they provide critical feedback during the process to keep development on track to achieve success. We have over 80 years of combined development experience in the computer industry. We have identified key concepts and design approaches that can be generally applied to almost any kind of product or service. When these factors are well understood, precisely documented, and rigorously applied throughout the development process, tremendous marketplace success can be achieved. We have a great deal of information to convey and are creating this site as time permits. We welcome your inquiries and will respond to as many as we can. Should you decide to seek additional support we will also consider providing consulting services on a case-by-case basis.
